Solid. Some poor design issues. BAD packaging for shipping : Winsome Wood Chinois Coffee Table
I'm not sure if this company has responded to complaints but, unlike the other reports in the reviews, my table came packed very well. The outer packaging was a cardboard box as thick as any other. There were foam and cardboard inserts to separate the components as well as bubble wrap and other wrapping to protect the pieces from scratching during shipping. I had no marks or damage at all. In general, the table is solid wood construction and looks very nice. The assembly was very easy and just a matter of attaching the legs to the top and bottom table surfaces. The supplied hardware was complete and created tight fits and a solid feel to the finished table. For the price I think this table was a very good value.
